Update (scroll down for the english version)

Ja, daar ben ik dan weer met een korte update!
Het is druk druk druk, als altijd.
De herfstvakantie is voorbij en de kids gaan alweer de hele week naar school. Behalve Tharanika natuurlijk. Maar vanaf haar 4e verjaardag in Februari gaat zij ook. Daar kijken wij beide naar uit.

Alex is ziek. Hij voelt zich echt beroerd... Balen. Hopen dat het niet de mexicaanse griep is. Ik hoop dat deze ons bespaart blijft.
We eten vandaag lekker boerenkool met worst. Daar begint het nu echt het weer voor te worden.

Louise danst vandaag 2 uurtjes en heeft een uurtje zangles, en vanavond ga ik nog ff tennissen.
Ondertussen ben ik bezig met Farmville op facebook. Leuk hoor, mn eigen farm opbouwen door het verbouwen van groenten en het verzorgen van dieren. Het is nogal verslavend.
Ben al op level 28. Het irritante is dat als je je groenten niet op tijd oogst, nadat ze volgroeid zijn, ze dan bederven... Dus je moet wel ff goed plannen. Inmiddels zit ik met 20 van mn facebook vriendjes op farmville en is het bijna een soort wedstrijd geworden haha. Dus ik ga gauw weer ff oogsten, zaaien en koeien melken! ;-)

Yes, here I am again with a short update!
I am soooooo busy, as always.
The fall holiday is behind us and the kids are back in school. Accept for Tharanika of course, but when she turns 4 in February, she will be going there too!
We are both looking forward to that moment.

Alex is feeling sick. He is really feeling awful. Hopefully it isn't the Mexican flu. I really hope that virus will just pass us by quietly.
Today we are having kale with smoked sausage for dinner. Its really getting colder outside, winter is coming and so I feel its time for kale!

Louise is having 2 hours of dancing today and 1 hour of singing lessons and after that Im going to have a tennis lesson tonight.
Meanwhile I am busy with Farmville on facebook. Its fun, having my own farm, building it by growing vegetables and fruits and flowers, and tending to animals. Its quite addictive really. I'm at level 28 already. The annoying thing is that, when you're not in time to harvest your growing's when they are done, that they go bad, so you have to plan properly. Meanwhile I am doing farmville with 20 of my facebook friends. Its like a contest now, we constantly want to outsmart each other haha.
So, I'm going back to harvesting now, and seeding an milking the cows

Uitlaatklep/Outlet

Zo das lang geleden! Het blijkt dat met een groot gezin dingen zoals bloggen naar de achtergrond raken. Das balen, want het is wel mn uitlaatklep. Dus nu, 10 minuutjes voor t eten begin ik er toch maar weer eens aan. Ik denk dat ik gewoon maar ga proberen een paar maal per week een kort stukkie te schrijven ipv 1x een heel lang stuk. Kijken of dat wel werkt.

Hier gaat alles wel oke. Louise is 8 jaar. We hebben haar verjaardag weer goed gevierd en haar bijnaam (prinses) weer eer aangedaan ;-)

Ze had dit jaar wel 2 jurken, en ze zag er in beide prachtig uit!

Voor haar partijtje zijn we gister wezen bowlen.

De herfstvakantie was hectisch. Wen dr vader overleed op Louise dr verjaardag. Het zat er aan te komen, maar dat maakt met niet veel minder naar. Als Wendy verdriet heeft, dan voel ik dat.

Ze houd haar hoofd fier rechtop, is er voor haar moeder en familie. Haar kinderen verwerken hun verdriet heel goed, dankzij haar benadering. Ik vind het echt super knap hoe ze het allemaal doet.

Met Mariella moesten we op de dag vd uitvaart naar de oogarts. Helaas is haar zicht nog niet vooruit gegaan. Het helpt natuurlijk ook voor geen meter dat ze haar bril altijd kwijt is. Vaak verstopt ze hem expres, omdat ze hem niet op wil, maar soms weet ze gewoon niet meer waar ze hem heeft afgedaan. (en ze mag hem van mij helemaal niet af doen zonder te vragen.... maar ja...) Inmiddels zijn we de brik al 1,5 week kwijt ofzo. Dus dit gaat denk ik haar 4e bril worden. Hij is al reeds 3x eerder vervangen omdat Mariella hem regelmatig kapot maakt. (ondanks dat de bril heus stevig is...)

Ze doet het ondertussen wel erg goed op school. Ze vind het ook erg leuk. Ik ben enorm trots op haar. Ook in huis lijkt ze wat gemoedelijker. Dat is zo fijn!

De situatie met Mesika en Tharanika is onveranderd. Ze zijn hier nog, ze blijven hier nog, en de toekomst blijft onzeker, in ieder geval tot April 2010. De ouders zijn inmiddels wanhopig.

We hopen dat ze geen wanhopige dingen zullen doen...

Voor Aarathy is er misschien een gezin in Alkmaar. Misschien ook niet.

Sooo, it has been a while!
It turns out that having a big family pushes things like blogging to the background. That kinda sucks, because blogging gives me an outlet, for all the things that I have on my mind.
So now, 10 minutes before dinner Im starting a new blog again. Im thinking about just writing short pieces a few times during the week instead of writing 1 big blog. Lets see if that will work.
Over here everything is going okey. Louise is now 8 years old. We really celebrated her birthday, as always, and really kept her nickname (princess) up high ;-) She had no less then 2 dresses this year and looked absolutely gorgeous in both of them.

For the kidsparty we went bowling yesterday.
The Fall Holiday was hectic. Wendy's dad died on Louise's B-day. It was coming for a while, but that does not take the sting out of it. When Wendy is hurting, then I feel her pain.
She is holding her head up high, she is a tremendous support for her mom and family. Her children are coping really well with their grieve because of how she is approaching the whole situation.
I am really admiring how she is organizing and coping it all.
We had to go to the eye doctor on the day of de funeral with Mariëlla. Unfortunately her eyesight did no improve. Ofcourse it doesn’t really help all that much that she is constantly misplacing her glasses. In most cases she is hiding them herself, because she doesn’t want to wear them, but on occasion she just forgets were she left it when she took her glasses off. (and she is not even aloud to take them off without asking me first.... but, you know...)
Meanwhile we have been searching for her glasses for about a week and a half by now. So Im thinking this will probably lead to her 4th pair of glasses. We had to replace it on 3 different occasions before, because she has efficiently demolished it on a regular basis (and that despite the fact that it is made of solid material)
At school she is doing great, she really likes to go to school and I am really proud of her. In the family&home situation she seems to be more relaxed and easier to get along with. That feels really good!

The situation with Mesika an Tharanika is the same really. The are here with us, they will be here with us and the future stays uncertain at least untill April 2010. The parents are really desperate by now. We hope they will not resort to desperate measures.
They may have found a foster family for Aarathy in Alkmaar. (city nearby) But then again.. maybe not. I will let you guys know when we know for sure!
